CID President to Present at EX4DEV17 Conference

The Center for Industrial Development is a research and consulting firm focused on the importance of industrial development to human progress and freedom.

October 30th, 2017- The Center for Industrial Development is excited to announce that Founder and President John (Yianni) Nikolaou will be presenting research on artisanal mining in Ivory Coast at the Extractive Industries for Development Conference, hosted at the University of London, Royal Holloway.

The November 2nd conference is an ESRC-funded interdisciplinary workshop meant to promote collaboration between industry, academia, and government to maximize the developmental potential of the extractive industries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

CID will be joined by other leading voices involved in the extractive industries including the Natural Resource Governance Institute, Extractives Hub, Pact, and the International Council on Mining and Metals. Mr. Nikolaou will be presenting research on the role artisanal mining plays in the security situation in Ivory Coast. His presentation will be available to CID readers after the conference.
